WHITE WEDDING BOUQUET

Sunday mid morning saw Anne Campbell and myself head off down to the Sheraton Mirage on the Coast for the wedding of Jessica and David. After catching up with the boys for pinning of their buttonholes we visited Jessica and the girls who were a all looking stunning in a beautiful black and white theme and stunning parasols as they were being photographed by our friend Juanita of Broderick Photography. To keep in with the tropical theme of the resort the ceremony table floral piece of lush foliages and beautiful white singapore orchids looked just as stunning when transported upstairs to the reception venue and placed on the bridal table. This theme of simplicity was also carried through to the black pebbles used with the white lilies as the table centre pieces.

WHITE WEDDING ORCHID TABLE ARRANGEMENTS

What a Weekend!!!

Saturday March 28 was one of those days that you just knew the skates had to be on from from the very start of the day. The morning starting off with the delivery and set up at 8 am at The Ballroom at Victoria Park Golf Club for the wedding of Jacki and Craig. The tables arrangements due to their size and nature had to be constructed on site on the day of the wedding. To say they were impressive as you walked in was what we were after. The WOW factor was the specification. The vases themselves were almost a meter high in height to which the arrangement was done in. Massed twisted willow came from the centre of the vase with leather fern as a skirt at the top of the vase with 15 stems of very long white wedding singapore cascading from the top. This job required the help from my husband. He just kept filling the 11 vases with litres of water in readiness for me to to place the arrangements. The cake top of white tulips was left for the finishing touches to be put onto the cake by Sarah Jane of Cake That. I only hope there were enough white tulips for her to do her magic with.!!!

After an hour and a half were finished then it was off to Indooroopily Golf Club for the reception table set up for Elizabeth and Lucas's wedding. An easier set up this was as I had already prepared the candelabra centre pieces in advance and we just had to set them in place on the tables. The bridal table has a lively arrangement of white asiatic lilies to match in with the tables. A cake top of several open white roses was again left for Sharon of A Cake to Remember to add to her masterpiece.

Next saw us dashing off to the Rendevous Hotel in the city for placed of buttonholes for Lucas and the boys and a handbag corsages Lucas's mum and grandmother.

A quick dash back to the workroom saw me load up the rest of the afternoons deliveries. Elizabeth and the girls were getting ready at Annerley and here the hairdresser was waiting to finish her magic on the girls with hair flowers. It was great to run into Sonia of Sterling Studios again as she was photographer of the day. Again buttonholes and handbag corsage were in place and i was off again.

Next stop was to Jacki and her party at The Stamford Hotel in the city for her bouquets. The room was full of laughter and tears and the girls looked stunning in their chocolate brown dresses and how amazing did Jacki look!! The tulips were a beautiful addition to their outfits. I had the pleasure of seeing Rhiannon ( one of the bridesmaid's and also Jacki's sister in law now whose wedding bouquet i did last year. It is always great to catch up with past brides.

Next stop was to St Augustines Church at Hamilton for the finishing touches to the church. Twenty beautiful ivory organza bow lined the isle pews along with a spray of baby's breath each. It just added the fairytale touch. Craig and the boys had their buttonholes added before being whisked off to be photographed. It was great to wait and see the wedding unfold before removing the pew bows and flowers and transporting the little bunches of flowers back to Victoria Park before the day was finished. Another hectic but exciting day.

WHITE ORCHID BOUQUETS

On Friday March 6 Anne Campbell and I along with Stew from "Stewart Ross Photography" headed off by ferry to Straddie for the wedding of Peta and Craig. We first caught up with Peta and her 3 lovely very excited little girls as they were getting ready. After hair flowers and wrist corsages were in place I headed up to the reception venue at the hotel for the set up of the reception vases of massed white singapore orchids surrounded by dodda vine. The cake topper was placed upon the very delicious oh so chocolate cake made by the very talented Sarah Jane of " Cake That." It was then off to the ceremony location hill top outside the surf club for the final placement of the bamboo teepee's and their cascading floral arrangements. to mark the ceremony location. These were then dismantled after the wonderful ceremony and taken back to be placed at the reception. A very exhausting day but loads of fun and laughter where had - this is what makes my day !!!

TULIP WEDDING BOUQUETS

On Friday February 20 2009 Nicole and Tim chose the Boulevard Gardens at Indooroopilly to host their cosy wedding and reception. The bride and her bridesmaid carried bouquets that contained a mixture of hot and pale pink tulips. This colour theme was carried through to the two shades of pink rose petals that scattered on top of the cup cake tower wedding cake. Despite the unfortunate wet weather, the wedding was filled with perks from the delightful Marriage Celebrant Anne Campbell
to the unpredictable 5 year old page boy who had issues with wearing his buttonhole. I do hope everything turned out well for the both of them.
